Loyalty to Our Divine Maker

How are you, my dear reader? It has been a long time, going to and fro for life’s missions but now am back. Rest assured of daily updates unless I’ll go on another mission. This morning after waking up I was thinking of the lives of some Bible characters such as Joseph, Job, Daniel and the rest. Would you dare to be loyal to your God even unto death?

Of course, we are admonished in Revelation 2:10 that we should be faithful even unto death. And God is very serious when he says even unto the point of death because our eyes should be fixed on eternal things. My thoughts today went to Job. The once rich man has been reduced to nothing. I mean he no longer possessed anything. The people around him tell him that he sinned against God. Moreover, his wife tells him to curse God. I sometimes wonder what our spouses tell us when we get ourselves in trouble. Nevertheless, Job says “Though he slay me, yet will I trust in him: but I will maintain mine own ways before him.” Job 13:15 (KJV)

Come on, how can you continue to trust someone this far? I wish I could have such a faith. How many times have you bought the loyalty of your friends? Job was tested, tried and approved to be loyal. My prayer this day is that God may open in your heart the desire to be loyal to him, even unto death.

God requires only those who are faithful. However, do not think you can achieve this on your own. Pray that the Holy Spirit may turn your heart to Jesus. For we know that he is the Author and Finisher of our faith. Besides, on this earth, we are pilgrims and sojourners. Brothers and sisters, put your eyes on things above, pray that Jesus fixes our lives.

May this day be a joyful day for you and your family. May God bless you abundantly. Amen
